Fire at Cork city recycling centre brought under control

Cork City Fire Brigade attended the scene of a fire at a recycling centre in Churchfield on John F Connolly Road on Thursday morning.
The fire was quickly brought under control and no injuries were reported.
Speaking to
, Victor Shine, second officer with Cork City Fire Brigade, confirmed that the blaze at the Cork Mini Skips compound had been brought under control, with nobody injured and all who were at the scene evacuated safely.The alarm was initially raised at approximately 11:25am this morning.
Mr Shine said: “The fire was brought under control quite quickly. There were four units, from Anglesea Street and Ballyvolane, responded to it.
"The building was completely evacuated and no one was injured.”
