Theatre

Escaped Alone, Everyman, 8pm: Irish premiere of Caryl Churchill’s 2016 revolutionary play, as part of Cork Midsummer Festival. Tickets €19-28.

So Much Beckett, Cork Arts Theatre, 8pm: See some of the master playwright’s works over three evenings at Cork Arts Theatre. Tickets €18.

The Second Woman, Cork Opera House, 4pm, 8pm, 11pm: Over 24 hours, 100 different men will star opposite Eileen Walsh. Ticket prices vary.

Music

The Saw Doctors, Virgin Media Park, 5pm: You might still grab a few tickets for this. Tickets €60

Rugged Little Pill - Alanis Morrisette Tribute, Cyprus Avenue, 7pm: A trip through the hits of the Canadian superstar. Tickets €22.

Mary Coughlan in Concert, Village Arts Centre, Kilworth, 8pm: Jazz and blues singing legend plays a one-off gig. Tickets €33.

Rob Strong Band, St Catherine’s, Kinsale, 8pm: Celebrating 60 years on the road. Tickets €27.

HOTBOXX Techno Cage Rave AZULO, The Pav, 10pm: DJs perform hard techno from inside a specially built boiler room cage set-up. Tickets €10.

Other Events

Carrigaline Scavenger Hunt, Bandstand, Carrigaline Regional Park, 8am: The fun ends with a prize-giving celebration. Enjoy the event at your own pace by ing the Actionbound app. One ticket per family is all you need. Price €11.70.

Stretch & Scribble, Seventy Seven, 12.30am: Three-hour workshop designed to help you clear your head, get focused, and move your body. All equipment will be provided. Tickets €40.

Creative Saturdays, The Glucksman, 11am: artist Seiko Hayase for hands on creative activities in a new series of art classes. Tickets €20.

Clothes Swap, St Peter’s Church, 11am: Buy a ticket and pay anything you want between €2-€5,

Fundraiser for age West Maritime Museum- A Fishy Business!, Ringaskiddy Community Centre, 7.30pm: A ‘night filled with giggles and embarrassment as we enjoy the makings of everyone’s worst nightmare’. After the break and refreshments, an uplifting sing-along concert by age West Community Choir. Tickets €15.

Stand-Up Comedy Club: Sinead Quinlan and Guests, CoCo Comedy Club, 8.30pm: Sinéad is a stand-up comedian, writer, and actor from Cork. She is ed by a host of others. Tickets €24.

Sunday

Challenge 21 Haulbowline Island, 10am: Annual event to the Down Syndrome Centre, Cork. Walk, jog or run the 21km from Haulbowline to SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh. Tickets €21.

This Is Cork Tours: Cork’s Many Childhoods, South Main Street, 11.30am: A family walking tour exploring the treats and games children played in different times of Cork’s history. Tickets €12.

Movement Workshop with Inma Pavon, Scoil Cholmcille, Blarney Street, 2pm: Choreographer Inma Pavon hosts another workshop. Tickets €17.
